The Regal Musical Instrument Company was established in 1908 in Chicago. By the 1930s, they were one of the largest manufacturers of musical instruments in the world.
Regal specialised in:

- Lyon & Healy bought the rights to the Regal name in 1905 and used it until 1908.

[GEAR] Old Regal Guitar Identification
Hey people, About a year ago I bought a regal archtop guitar off of craigslist and can't find any information on it. The person who I bought it from said it belonged to his grandfather. He was selling it because it just sat around and he wanted it to be played. He could not tell me the year or how his grandfather got it. If I remember correctly, I do not think it is original and he modified it to put in a pick-up to make it acoustic-electric. The bridge may not be original either. I tried finding a serial number or model and I can't find anything.
I was hoping someone could help me figure out what I have here!
Also, while I'm posting here, the action is very high on the guitar. How could I fix this and could I do it myself without compromising the sound?
