Over the last few weeks our furnace doesnt always 'respond'. For example this morning I came downstairs and the temp was 16 degrees and the furnace wasnt running (thermostat was set to 20). 5 mins later it came on by itself. This has happened a few times. It has always come on eventually, or if I go downstairs and take the main door/plate? off the front then put it back (reactivating the switch pressed by the door) it fires up immediately. The furnace is older (I would guess 15 -20 years). I dont think its a problem with the thermostat only because it always starts instantly when I repress that switch on the door. Any thoughts before I call the repair man?
Also any recommendations on a repair guy in the guelph area?
